Picture its cities in a rough route rather than trying to recall a worldwide list. A coast, a railway or a region can help you retrieve several names quickly. Then choose one that fits the exact question.
Watch the category
Cities and capitals have separate answer banks and separate pageview comparisons. A place can appear in both, but a capital question needs an entry from the capital bank. A city answer is not judged against rivers, mountains or countries.
Resolve shared names
Many settlements share a name. The game uses aliases and qualifiers to distinguish them. If you have a particular place in mind, its qualified name is safer than assuming the game will choose it from an ambiguous short spelling.
