01

Name a place.

A river. A mountain. A faraway city. Each round gives you a prompt and half a minute to answer.

02

Go beyond the obvious.

Less familiar answers earn more points. Think of a place you read about, passed through, or never forgot.

03

Make your own way down.

Your worm digs through roots, rock and glowing seams. Each answer leaves a new piece of tunnel behind.

A few good questions.

What makes an answer rare?

Wormillion compares the stored English Wikipedia pageviews of entries in the same category. Fewer views mean higher obscurity. It is a game score, not a measure of how important a place is.

Can I play more than once?

The daily dig is one expedition per day. Endless mode gives you a fresh set of ten prompts whenever you want another dig.

Do I need to sign in?

What if my answer is not accepted?

Check the category and any condition in the question. Common aliases and some spelling mistakes are recognised, but a real place outside the current bank cannot be scored.
