Remember the surrounding peaks

A famous summit can be a starting point for your memory. Think about other peaks in the same landscape, or mountains you have seen without climbing. Choosing a lesser-known neighbour is often more interesting than repeating the headline name.

A peak is an entry, not a range

Use the name of the mountain the question asks for. The answer bank distinguishes individual features, and a mountain range is not automatically an accepted substitute for one of its peaks.

Height and obscurity are different

A height restriction decides which entries fit a prompt. Obscurity still comes from English Wikipedia pageviews compared with the whole mountain category. Passing a height rule does not give a separate rarity bonus.

Examples fit the unrestricted category. A round with extra conditions may need a different answer. Read the full scoring method.
